Joy Scott - Positive Athlete Regional Winner

Joy Scott was nominated by her Coach, Travis Mihalik, and was selected as the “Most Positive Athlete in their Sport” in the Northwest Atlanta, GA Region in 2020. The positive athlete organization receives over 5,000 nominations each year in Georgia alone for Positive Athlete, and the fact that Joy has been selected as Regional Winner is very significant.  Only about seven percent of nominees are recognized in any way by the Positive Athlete organization as a regional award winner. What this says is this is a young person worth investing your time in, and that they are someone you can have a great deal of confidence will be an asset to your organization.

This individual has been vetted by not only the Positive Athlete organization, but by Chapel Hill High School and organizations she has served in order to receive this honor. The best way to describe Joy is that she has high-character, teamwork-oriented leader, who has experienced winning and losing, and has shown a heart for her school and community.
